I’m an art lover and right now I’m obsessing with digital art. There’s just something special about. It’s a new medium of expressing yourself. Last week, I got the chance to see the works of iAcademy students at their 2016 Exhibit at Rockwell Powerplant Mall, Makati with the theme: START: Social Transformation through ART.
The Gallery
START showcases the different sides of our societal status. From transportation to culture to social media, the exhibit features digital artwork representing the unseen world of our current society. My personal favorite is the “Start with a Snap” by Lanz Manalo. The artwork revolves on the theme of poverty and social media. We always see these posts about poverty online, trending and viral stories that the media picks up and yet not much are being done about it. The “likes + shares won’t solve hunger” concept hit me real hard.
