Ever wanted to learn a new language? As a traveler, it’s important to immerse yourself in various culture and tradition and language plays a vital role in that connection. I, for one, find it helpful that I know basic Mandarin because that helps a lot when I travel to a place with many Chinese locals. This is the very reason why Accenture recently launched the Fusion Night 2016, a night where multilinguals get to interact and meet one another, opening a new world: The Polyglot Nation.
FUSION NIGHT 2016
The first Fusion Night was held last Saturday at the Hole in the Wall, Makati. It was a night of fun games, different languages and meeting new people. The launch was opened with an improv performance by SPIT Manila. Although I’m not new to improvisation since I used to be part of the theater club, it was such an awesome experience watching an improv act for the first time. The show featured acts involving the use of different languages which was so cool.
Yes, you’ve read that right. As part of the advocacy of Accenture, the launch of the Polyglot Nation aims to build a strong community of multilinguals. With this, Accenture is giving language classes for FREE. Although these are not formal classes, they will be conducted by various Accenture language leaders who are mostly self-taught. Because of this, you get a first-hand lecture from people who have actually learned the language on their own. Also, since the lectures will be done for free, classes will depend on the availability of the lecturers. For example, Spanish classes are conducted every Saturdays. But hey, it’s free!!
If you want to be part of the program, you can sign up here. Again, registration is free. So what are you waiting for? Learn a new language and be part of the Polyglot Nation!
