Whenever I hear the word strawberry, Baguio always come to mind. Because of it’s cool weather that can drop to as low as 8 degrees Celsius, it’s the best place to cultivate strawberries which only grows on cold regions. If you drop by at Baguio City, you’ll find strawberries at almost every corner. From brand logos to fresh fruits to even their popular strawberry version of the taho, there’s something that’s quite surprising about this tiny little fruit.
On our 2nd day tour of the city courtesy of Azalea Residences Baguio, we paid a visit at the famous Strawberry Farm in La Trinidad, Benguet.

Tip: If you want to drop by at La Trinidad Strawberry Farm, it would be best to put it last on your itinerary. In this way, the strawberries you’ll buy will remain fresh. Also, the farmers suggests to buy those that are not yet ripe (they’re a bit green) so that once you arrive back at your place, it will be ripe by then.
Next on our list was the Rose Garden in Bahong, La Trinidad, Benguet. It is considered as the Rose Capital of the Philippines. When we arrived at the place, it was pretty hot. But compared to the weather in Manila, it was very tolerable. What I loved about Baguio is that it’s not that humid. Hindi maanlinsangan and hindi malagkit and hangin.

There were only few roses during our visit since it was off-season. However, we saw a patch of field full of white daisies. It was such a perfect backdrop for a shoot.
After our quick visit, we had lunch over at Jewel Igorot Restaurant (I’ll do a separate food guide so do check it out). The place itself was so cool. I really like the veranda and the stairs and as expected here’s a full outfit shoot of what I wore on day 2 of my Baguio City Journal.
Okay. This obviously looks staged. Lol!
Here’s another thrift find I’ve been keeping for months. Bought this Debenhams Maine jacket for (try to guess….!) just Php 10! It’s another favorite of mine though I can’t really wear it every now and then because of the extreme weather in Manila. Green button down from Zalora. Watch from G-Shock. Shorts from Bench.

a trip to strawberry farm is a must pag nasa baguio kame, at titipirin namin ang lahat but not strawberry picking! Yan kase fave activity ng mga bata sa Baguio 🙂

I haven't gone strawberry picking in years! I have to go back there to take my kids soon. The Rose Garden is something I actually haven't seen yet. Hope I get to do so on our next Baguio trip.
