Guilty Pleasures at Rocket Room, BGC

Backstreet Boys, Boyz II Men, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper. These were the artists of my childhood. And I remember collecting their posters and taping them on my bedroom wall. I fancy disco, funk and retro music, I mean, they’re the best era of music for me. And nowadays, it’s rare to find good music. Well, we have great songs and artists and while I do have some favorites, nothing beats the tracks of the vinyl and cassette era. It’s a good thing that Rocket Room introduced the Guilty Pleasures, a night that is dedicated to everything retro.

Located in the center of Bonifacio High Street, BGC, Rocket Room has tagged Wednesday as a night of Guilty Pleasures and I must say, I really enjoyed it. It’s a night of good food, drinks and music. And did I mention that I went here the night before my final exams? Getting drunk was not on my plan but I believe that it’s important to have some fun so you can relax your mind. Anyways, here are some of the photos of my little guilty pleasure over at Rocket Room(All photos were taken from my phone since I forgot to bring my camera T_T )

Can you name them all?

Overall, my experience at Rocket Room was A-mazing. Travelling back in time and listening to my favorite songs and artists was one awesome experience. I was just singing along the whole time. And the food and cocktail drinks were amazing. Super love the pasta. The Sea Monkey was a favorite. I guess it was everyone’s favorite. Aside from the fact that it looks really interesting, it does tastes good, more of like drinking juice. But it’s indeed a traitor. Nasa huli ang tama! I also like King Philip’s Gold. It’s a combination of vodka, mango puree, coconut water and ube essence, a weird combination for me but it works.

Guilty Pleasures is celebrated every Wednesday night 7pm-12am. Rocket Room is located at 7th street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig (it’s around the amphitheater area).
