Get Paid To Travel and Shop with Shopback

I am known as the guy who’s obsessed with thrift shops and budget climbs. And for me, saving money is not just something you should do every time you travel. It should be part of your lifestyle as well. And as part of my search for things that’ll let you save, I found Shopback. If you’re an avid online shopper (just like me!), it’s such an achievement when you get to use coupon discounts that let you save a huge amount of money. But what if there’s a site that actually pays you to shop? Yes, you’ve read it right. With Shopback, you can get cash backs every time you purchase on their partner stores. At first I was like, why would someone pay you back? It’s probably a scam. But then again, why not try it? So here’s a rundown of my experience and how I managed to earn more than Php 300 on my first purchase.

What is Shopback

Shopback is an online site where you basically get paid to shop. By just signing up, you instantly get Php 100 and by completing your first purchase, you get another Php 100. That’s Php 200 earnings already. But how does it work?  Shopback works through commission (it’s affiliate marketing). So every time you shop online, Shopback earns through that commission. But then again, they just return it back to you in forms of rebates. Just like how credit card works.

In order to try if it works, I signed up and decided to purchase a gift for myself. Just click on the store you want to shop (it’s Lazadain my case) and you’ll see a pop up of things to note. Usually  the cashback is around 4% but it can go as high as 24%. You also have to make sure that you finish ordering successfully in order for Shopback to track your purchase.

Earn while you Shop

Since I love photography and I’m into traveling and my goal this 2016 is to take more photos and videos, I decided to buy this 1TB External Hard Drive from Toshiba. It’s quite pricey but I know that I’ll be able to use it.

Waited for around 2 days so Shopback could track my order and finally! I earned Php 351.72. Since it works in percentage, the more you shop, the more earnings you get. It’s just easy as that. And for travelers like me, you can also purchase your hotel bookings since they are in partners with Agoda, Hotels.Com, Expediaand others. It’s as simple as that!

Finally got my Toshiba 1TB External Hard Drive! Delivery got delayed by around 8 days due to the bad weather but I’m so happy to finally have more storage for my photos. It’s already a must have for me especially that my phone is OTG (On-The-Go)ready so I can just plug it directly to my phone and upload photos. Can’t wait for more travel adventures this 2016!

Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post. However, all opinions are mine. And I bought the Toshiba using my own money.

Cheers~!
