What’s the best way to cap off your climb? A dive at the beach. Whenever we set a climb, I always consider a side trip to a beach or falls. It’s just so relaxing taking a dip after a day of hiking. When we climbed Mt. Gulugod Baboy (read my guide here), I was happy that the beach is just beside the jump off. So after climbing it, we headed down to Philpan Dive Resort to get our dose of vitamin sea.
While descending Mt. Gulugod Baboy, the sight was just beautiful. The sun setting down, the horizon: a convergence of the blue sea and the orange sky.
A Dive to the Sea
Entrance to Philpan Dive Resort is Php 60/head since we’re gonna stay overnight. That includes already a cottage. I’m not sure if this is how it works during peak season but since there’s around 6 of us and there’s no other guests, we have the place all to ourselves.
Philpan Dive Resort isn’t the best beach resort you’ll find. But for someone who is itching to dip in sea water, it’s not that bad. They also have breakwaters which we used as diving platforms.
Catching the Sunset
Of course, our trip wouldn’t be complete without another set of cool photos.
